She then did her OE which included teaching in the UK for 2 years. Since then she has been promoted through several leadership roles including Team Leader for both Year 1 and Year 2, and she was appointed Associate Principal overseeing New Entrant – Year 3 classes.Īfter completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Otago, Jane began her teaching career at Orakei School. Jane joined the Meadowbank team in 2010 as a Year 2 classroom teacher. Steph is passionate about innovation and cutting edge pedagogy. She is the proud Mum of Indiana and Hudson and is married to Steve, who is a Lego master. Stephanie studied a Graduate Diploma in Teaching at Waikato University, and Bachelor of Theology and Performance Opera at Auckland University. Prior to this, she taught at St Heliers School and before that led a non-profit organisation with her husband, working with at-risk youth in New York. During that time she held a variety of roles from SENCO to Deputy Principal. Stephanie joined the Meadowbank team in 2019 after spending seven years at Ōrākei School. His academic interests include Education Outside the Classroom, inquiry based teaching, innovative learning and the use of ICT. Matt has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a graduate teaching diploma and a diploma in outdoor recreation leadership. Prior to training as a teacher Matt was the Head Teacher of a language school in South Korea and initially trained as an outdoor pursuits instructor holding a range of senior instructor roles with various outdoor organisations He has also taught at Remuera Primary and Pukekohe Hill School. Matt joined Meadowbank in 2016 after spending five years at Auckland Normal Intermediate School as a classroom teacher and Associate Principal. Phil is a Meadowbank local and he and his wife (Sarah) have 2 young children who attend preschool and school in the local area. He has also spent some time teaching in the UK. Prior to Glenavon, Phil spent time as a Deputy Principal and Acting Principal at Redoubt North School, a large urban school with a similar roll size to Meadowbank. Many of Phil’s achievements were recognised when Glenavon School was announced as a finalist in the 2018 Prime Minister’s Education Excellence Awards.

Prior to that he was at Glenavon School where he was Principal for five years. Both the Junior (0-2 years) and the Senior site (3-6 years) has a Deputy Principal and an Associate Principal. There is a strong Management team at Meadowbank school.
